Wolf spiders are robust and agile hunters commonly found in a variety of habitats, including gardens, forests, and urban areas. They are known for their large size and distinct eye arrangement, with two large eyes at the front and smaller eyes along the top of the head. Wolf spiders do not build webs but actively hunt prey, including insects and small invertebrates. While they are not aggressive and typically avoid humans, they may enter homes in search of prey or shelter. Wolf spider bites are rare and usually not harmful, causing minor irritation similar to a bee sting.
